Where are we?
Hole in the Wall fishing lodge is located in Nootka Sound on the north west coast of Vancouver Island. Vancouver Island is located off the south west coast of British Columbia, Canada. Hole in the Wall is approximately 29 km’s by boat from the Village of Gold River or a 42 km drive from the Village of Gold River to the Cougar Creek campsite and then 3 km by boat.
Getting here:
By road: Travel north on Highway 19 to Campbell River, then west on Highway 28 to Gold River. Take the Head Bay Service Road to Cougar Creek (approximately 42 km). Directions to Cougar Creek will be given to guests prior to travel or arrangements can be made for guest pick-up in Gold River.
By air: Daily flights to Campbell River and Comox are available direct from Vancouver, British Columbia and Calgary, Alberta. Arrangements may be made for guest pick-up at either Campbell River or Comox airports.
It is approximately a 2 ½ hour drive from the Campbell River Airport to the Cougar Creek Campsite and then 3 km by boat. For the adventurous, float planes can be chartered from Campbell River, Comox, or Vancouver directly to Hole in the Wall.
